With such fantastic canal views in a fishing mad holiday town, this one was always going to be fun to design.<\/p>\n

John wanted a bit of spark throughout, but also some private retreats in a home built for socialising. He sought out Star Design and Drafting after a regulation-defeated first attempt.<\/p>\n

With a scrapbook of ideas in hand, we got to work on translating his dream into home.<\/p>\n

Where do I start… pushing the bounds of engineering in the state\u2019s highest cyclonic region comes to mind.<\/p>\n

Every living space wanted to address the water.<\/p>\n

Bedroom balcony cantilevered over the pool; ensuite shower with views; lavish timber bridge over the kitchen & dining, large BBQ deck with custom designed pool fence posts to look like yacht sails and an infinity pool edge falling towards the canal.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s say the design had a bit going on.<\/p>\n

However, even with the multi bay garage workshop and many unique construction materials, we were able to work efficiently with the engineer\u2019s and the energy ratings to present a beauty in the overregulate canal precinct.<\/p>\n
